Timbaland was deemed songwriter of the year at the 16th annual ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Awards Tuesday. Tim, who also received the honor in 2001, was recognized for penning the hits "More Than a Woman" and "I Care 4 U" for Aaliyah, as well as Tweet's "Oops (Oh My)" and Missy Elliott's "Work It." Ashanti's "Foolish" picked up the top R&B/hip-hop song; Nelly's "Hot in Herre" was dubbed best rap song; and Fat Joe's "What's Luv?" was named best soundtrack song. ... Timbaland is also working on his third LP with his childhood friend Magoo. The album is coming out later this year and features Missy on the first single, "Cop That Sh--." All three flip classic verses from Rakim, MC Lyte and Special Ed in their rhymes. ...

Well there is another Timbaland and Magoo album in the works...thank God. However, this one will not have all productions done by Timbaland. He will be bringing in Heavy D and The Neptunes to lay down some tracks. Also Timbaland said that he has turned down millions of dollars to focus on his artists. He said that Bubba's upcoming album has been the most ingenious thing he has done to date. He is also working on Kiley Deans upcoming album titled "Simple Girl".
* Added on 03/16/03: There is a new Bubba Sparxxx and the Mudd Katz mixtape out right now and the whole thing is produced by Timmy. All new tracks featuring Bubba, Timbaland, Sebastian, Kiley Dean, Petey Pablo, and many new artists. Cop that!
* Added on 10/16/02: Ms. Jade album is dropping (for real this time) on Nov.5 so everyone support her, Tim, and Beat Club and go get that the day it drops.
* As you all probally know Missy has a new album coming out called "Under Construction" which I'm sure promises many Timmy beats like the new one called "Work it", I'll keep everyone updated on that as I find out more.
* Also keep an eye out for Justin Timberlakes album titled "Justified", this promises four songs produced by Timbaland called "Cry me a river", "What u got(oh no)", "And she said(take me now)" ft. Janet Jackson, and "Right for me" ft. Bubba Sparxxx.
* Jay-Z's upcoming album "The Blueprint II: The Gift & The Curse" will be a double CD and will have production from Timbaland.

* Added on 5/26: Timbaland to produce a song on upcoming Solange album. For those who do not know, Solange is the sister of Beyonce from the group Destiny's Child.

* Hip-hop duo Timbaland & Magoo are preparing to release a remix of Aaliyah's "I Am Music" as the thrid single from their second album, Indecent Proposal. The new version of the song will appear on a revamped issue of Indecent Proposal, due out on April 23 on Blackground/Universal Records. The original album was released on November 27 on Blackground/Virgin Records. "We are excited about the opportunity to jumpstart our new relationship with Universal with one of our cornerstone acts," says Jomo Hankerson, president of Blackground Records. "We also get the chance to get this project up near the top of the charts where it belongs."
In September, a month after Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash, Timbaland spoke to LAUNCH about the impact the singer had on his music. "Yeah, it's hard man, because I was close to they family, not just her. (I've been) thinking about her mom and her dad, just stuff like that. And working with another female...I doubt if I ever, like, have that magic that I had with her. So as far as...I'm like good with R&B, but I doubt it because she was the magic as far as female vocalists," he said. The Virgin Records release of Indecent Proposal is Number 60 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart.
