Eventually he hooked up with Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, Playa, Ginuwine and Magoo, forming the hip-hop production crew, Da Bassment. In 1996, they got together to make the hit track "Love You Down," which appeared on the "Nutty Professor" soundtrack. Timbaland worked hardcore from 1996-1998, with albums including Ginuwine "The Bachelor", Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott "Supa Dupa Fly", Aaliyah "Are you that Somebody?", and Timbaland & Magoo "Welcome to our World." Timbaland's productions have sold more than 10 million copies. In 1998, Timbaland moved from behind the board to behind the mic for his debut solo album "Tim's Bio:From the Motion Picture:Life From the Bassment." Since has produced many more hits including Jay-z "Big Pimpin", Memphis Bleek "Is that your chick", Petey Pablo "Raise up", and many more. In 2001 Timbaland released his final album as a rapper with Magoo called "Indecent Proposal." Now he has started his own label called Beat Club and plans to devote his best to that. The first release on Beat Club is Bubba Sparxxx "Dark days, Bright nights" to be followed by Storm and Ms. Jade. He says he is saving his best beats for his label and everyone else except close friends like Ginuwine and Jay-z(to name a few) will get the b-side of Timbaland.
